Title : Drug delivery systems for neurological disorders challenges and latest updates in pharmaceutics
Abstract:
Drug delivery systems refer to technologies and approaches used to deliver pharmaceutical compounds to specific targeted sites within the body. The goal of drug delivery is to improve the therapeutic efficacy of medications while minimizing side effects and enhancing patient compliance. There are various drug delivery systems, each designed to address specific challenges associated with drug administration. Advancements in drug delivery systems aim to improve therapeutic outcomes, reduce side effects, and enhance patient convenience. Researchers continue to explore innovative approaches, combining materials science, nanotechnology, and bioengineering to develop more effective and targeted drug delivery solutions. The blood-brain barrier (BBB) is a highly selective and protective barrier that separates the circulating blood from the brain's extracellular fluid. It is composed of tightly packed endothelial cells lining the capillaries in the brain, along with associated astrocytes and pericytes. While the BBB is crucial for maintaining the brain's microenvironment, it poses a significant challenge for drug delivery, as many drugs have difficulty crossing this barrier.
Several strategies and drug delivery systems have been developed to overcome the challenges posed by the blood-brain barrier. To overm the blood brain barrier and to achieve therapeutic level without side effects by the application of the latest technologies developed by the pharmaceutics will the key focus for this presentation.
Audience Take Away Notes:
- As it is highly expected the major participants will be professional/ clinician so they will be get benifitedfrom latest developmentsand will apply in their practical life to cure their patients without side effects and in short duration. Actually its a industry academia kind of conference. So many problems related to delivery system will be highlighted and eventually get solved by the pharmaceutics and may be researchers
- Students will also would be in participants a they will get the latest updates about and even about the drug delivery systems specifically for brain
- Will it improve the accuracy of a design, or provide new information to assist in a design problem
