Biography:
Mrs. Mia Karam is a fourth-year biomedical engineering PhD student at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. She received a bachelor’s degree in life and earth sciences from the Faculty of Sciences at the Lebanese University and a master’s degree in molecular and cellular biology and in cancer studies from the Doctoral School of Science and Technology at the Lebanese University, Lebanon. Her thesis work focuses on the use of polymeric nanoparticles as drug delivery systems for wound healing and cardiovascular applications.
