Biography:
Dr. Maria Imran recently completed her Wellcome Trust-funded PhD at the University of Liverpool, where she specialised in pharmacogenomics and biostatistics. Her doctoral research focused on genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and in vitro validation of CYP2C9 variants affecting drug metabolism, particularly in under-represented African populations. With a background in genetics and biotechnology, she has expertise in statistical genetics, predictive modelling, and data analysis using R. She is currently conducting follow-up research at the University of Liverpool to expand on her findings and prepare additional publications.
