Biography:
Dr Fernando Pavan (FP) obtained his PhD in Microbiology at the State University of São Paulo (UNESP/Brazil) in 2011. Part of the doctorate was carried out at the University of Illinois at Chicago with the group of Prof. Scott G. Franzblau. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at UNESP in the discipline of Microbiology and head of the Tuberculosis Research laboratory. His group has published more than 150 articles in the field of microbiology and medicinal chemistry. FP has a h-index =321 by Scopus and 376 by google scholar.
