Title : Novel fabrication of adaptive transdermal technologies for drug delivery
Abstract:
Transdermal drug delivery systems (and technologies) have undergone substantial transformations over the last decade due to advances in 3D Printing, Micromoulding and other novel processing technologies. This presentation will focus on selected developments; detailing how emerging methods function and how they can be used and applied to develop novel drug delivery technologies. An area of interest within emerging process (fabrication) technology will be that relating to electrohydrodynamic based engineering and their utility. Several examples of these technologies (e.g. electrospinning, electrospraying and electro-printing), their adaptations and their end-product utility within drug delivery systems will be discussed.
