The Medicines Discovery Catapult (MDC) is a UK-based national life sciences service, headquartered in Alderley Park, supporting innovators across the full drug discovery and early development pathway through R&D consultancy, Discovery Laboratories and National Programmes. Our R&D Consultancy works with academic groups, biotech companies, investors and accelerators at all stages of the discovery journey, providing strategic insight, practical planning and flexible access to deep scientific and translational expertise. For emerging innovators building a drug discovery programme, we help shape future clinical and commercial positioning, guiding discovery strategy to deliver investment-ready and decision-enabling milestones. We work with both new and established organisations to clarify, strengthen and actively de-risk discovery and translational programmes through structured roadmap reports, expert roundtables and targeted de-risking plans aligned to regulatory, development and clinical expectations, helping teams navigate complex regulatory, development and clinical landscapes. Our R&D Consultancy can support incubator and accelerator programmes, portfolio companies and investors.
