Biography:
Ignacia Torres Fredes is a Pharmacist and MSc in Biochemistry from the University of Chile and is currently a PhD candidate in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the same institution. Her research focuses on the development of electrospun platforms for the intranasal administration of functionalized nanosystems targeting the central nervous system. Her work integrates nanotechnology, biomaterials, and pharmaceutical sciences, with special interest in nose to brain drug delivery systems and nanomaterials applied to neurodegenerative diseases. In addition, she actively participates in university teaching and scientific outreach activities aimed at bringing nanotechnology and pharmaceutical sciences closer to students and educational communities.
