Title : Road to relief: Managing varicose veins in labor and professional drivers
Abstract:
Background: Varicose veins (VV) are prevalent among labour workers and drivers due to prolonged standing or sitting, leading to increased venous pressure.
Objective: This study aims to investigate the correlation between occupational factors and the incidence of varicose veins in labour workers and drivers.
Materials and Methods: Data were collected from various studies analysing occupational health, focusing on demographics, job types, and working conditions that contribute to VV development.
Results: Findings indicate that professions requiring extended periods of standing or sitting significantly increase the risk of varicose veins.
Conclusion: Preventive measures such as regular movement, proper footwear, and compression stockings can mitigate risks for affected workers.
Key Words: Varicose veins, labour workers, drivers, occupational health, prevention
